Connecting with our community
At Concord Baptist we want to connect with those around us and to live out the love of God by loving others in ways that are practical and selfless. We believe that this is simply a part of what it means to follow Jesus.
We are currently involved in a number of projects and activities in our local community, including - establishing and maintaining gardens at North Strathfield Primary School - providing food hampers to those in need inner city Sydney - visiting the elderly as well as bus-driving and providing music at a local nursing home and hostel.

Connecting with the world
Mission (cross-cultural, world & local) has always been important to Concord Baptist. As a church body, we pray for and support the following people:
Jonno & Heather (with their 5 children in tow) work among the Yao people in Mozambique, South East Africa. They are connected with Global Interaction, the Baptist Mission Agency in Australia. Visit Global Interaction
Janet Chalker works in Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire), West Africa. She is involved in theological training at the Hebron Institute, which trains pastors from several West African nations. Visit WEC - Ivory Coast
Peter & Sue are the National Pastoral Care Coordinators for WEC International, based in Sydney. They previously worked in cross cultural mission in Asia for a number of years.

Brigitte has worked for Fusion for many years and is involved in running community festivals and connecting with High School students. Visit Fusion International
David and Christine (with Amelia, Annabelle and Samuel) work in Arequipa Peru. They are currently learning Spanish as they prepare to work with University Students in what they feel is a strategic ministry for the Kingdom. Visit SIM and read more about the Jeyachandran family here.
